Bring a sample, leave with a plan.
Bring a sample in a clean bottle, filled elbow-deep away from a return jet. We test chlorine, pH, alkalinity, calcium hardness, stabilizer, and salt, then write out what to add, how much, and in what order. No purchase needed.
Chlorine tabs, liquid chlorine, shock, acid, salt, balancers, stabilizer, algaecide, and clarifiers, with advice from people who service pools for a living.
Spa chemicals, filters, and covers alongside the pool aisle, plus test kits, brushes, poles, nets, and vacuum heads.
Pumps, filters, heaters, salt systems, automation, and automatic cleaners sold at the counter. Buy it here and have our crew install it, or take it home. We're an authorized Pentair, Jandy, and Hayward warranty center, so warranty claims come back to the same counter.
O-rings, lids, gauges, pump parts, and cleaner parts. Bring the old part or a photo of the equipment label and we'll match it or order it.
Replacement cartridges and DE grids for common filters, in stock or special-ordered.
Floats, toys, and games for the summer, in stock all season.
Ask. The people at the counter service pools for a living.
Use a clean bottle (a rinsed water bottle is fine). Reach in elbow-deep, away from a return jet and the skimmer, and fill it. Bring it in the same day if you can; a sample left in a hot car for two days isn't your pool anymore.
If you're on weekly service, your tech tests every visit. If you're doing it yourself, test chlorine and pH at least twice a week in summer, and bring a sample to the store monthly for the full panel (alkalinity, calcium, stabilizer, salt).
Local tap water is hard, and every time the pool evaporates and you top it off, the calcium stays behind and the new water adds more. Managing it means keeping pH in line, and every few years, a partial drain and refill.
Usually. Bring the old part or a clear photo of the part and the equipment label (brand and model) and we'll match it. If we don't stock it, we can special-order most parts.
Yes. Spa chemicals, filters, and test strips alongside the pool aisle, plus advice on keeping a hot tub clear between drains.
Yes. Ask. A wrong answer costs you a lot more than a free one costs us.

I went to two different pool supply places and they didn't have any idea what my part was. I walked into Johnny's and within three seconds the guy behind the counter knew exactly what I needed and the part number! Sure enough the part fit and I'm back in business. Highly recommend this place.
I needed help getting gaskets and other parts which were hard to find, but Johnny's not only had them in stock but at a reasonable price! Jay provided great customer service and gave me a lot of advice and recommendations. They saved me a lot of time and money. Highly recommend this store, they're very honest!
They are the only store who had the pool motor I needed in stock, and they set it up for me free and explained what I needed to do for my pool. This is my place from now on!
