Most wrong parts come from guessing the model. A photo of the label, or the old part in a bag, fixes that.
A lot of pool parts look alike. O-rings, lids, gaskets, and impellers differ by a few millimeters, and a part that almost fits will leak or wear out fast. The fix is easy: bring us enough information to match it exactly.
Every pump, filter, heater, and salt system has a label with the brand, model, and often a part or serial number. Photograph the whole label, in focus. If it is faded, photograph the equipment from a few angles too.
If you can remove it safely, bring the old part in a bag. We can match size and shape at the counter, even when the model number is gone.
"The pump leaks" can mean a shaft seal, a lid o-ring, or a cracked housing. Note where the water comes from and when: while running, or all the time. That tells us which part you need.
If a part keeps failing, something else may be causing it, like a pump running dry or a filter at high pressure. Tell us the history and we'll say whether a tech should look at it. Parts for Pentair, Jandy, and Hayward are covered at our warranty counter too.
